Overview

In an age of radical individuality, there are almost as many ways in which people define themselves and each other as there are people to be defined. The world tries to define us in a thousand different ways. God defines us in just one: We are his beloved children with whom he is well pleased. Once we are defined by God, nothing else can ever incorrectly identify us again.

Our resolved proclamations must be, “I am who the I AM says I am.”

In this sermon series, teaching centers on the temptations of Christ, as recorded in Matthew 3-4, and how the world's tendencies to define people by their appetites, prominence and power will never get us into the Kingdom of God.
