In our ostentatious culture, a lot of attention is given to the art of entertaining, or putting on airs to impress important guests. When we put on Christ instead of airs, we discover the biblical call to hospitality, which is about loving our real neighbors by welcoming them into our real homes and communities. Co-hosting with Christ involves becoming comfortable making others comfortable in the presence of God and each other. Is it possible that sharing our faith and changing the world is as simple as hosting others joyfully? This is exactly what God’s Word suggests.
